The Banquet

The Banquet meal ministry was founded in 1985 starting with just one meal per week. We now serve 13 meals per week at two locations. The Banquet is a volunteer-based ministry, which means our meals are paid for, prepared by, and served by volunteer groups who come from Sioux Falls and the surrounding area.

Food To You Mobile Food Pantry

Food To You Mobile Food Pantry is a way to get groceries and household items to those who need them on a weekly basis by distributing them in the neighborhoods after daytime work hours.

The Mobile Food Pantry is sponsored as a service in the Sioux Falls area by Charis Minisry Partners, a non-profit organization of thirteen local congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

We are two congregations of the ELCA (Evangelical Church in America) located behind the walls of the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls and Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield. We also support Sunday evening worship at the Yankton Minimum Unit in Yankton.

Your support is crucial to sustaining our strong and dynamic ministries. We welcome you to worship with us. When you worship with us you fulfill Christ’s command and will be blessed by an hospitable welcome and a vibrant worship experience.

Laundry With Love provides opportunities to come alongside people who are struggling financially by assisting them with their laundry.  Twice a month we partner with another local church or group to provide 3 loads of laundry at no cost.  We are their to offer love, support, encouargement and prayer to all.  We would love for you or your organization to join us by donating quarters, laundry soap, snack foods for the evening or just your loving smile and words of encouragement to those around.

The Nightwatch Food Ministry was started in 2006 as an agreement between 8 local Methodist churches. When started, it was to fill a need on Sunday nights since the Banquet did not serve on the weekends. The mission of the group was to “Serve any person who shows up needing a hot meal”. It has since expanded to serve at two locations on Sunday nights and now serves on Mondays at Hayward Elementary School, feeding participants in the after school program and local families.
